OPTOMETRISTS
Dr. Monica LaDouceur, OD
After graduating from Optometry School, Dr. LaDouceur spent three years on Active Duty with the US Navy.
"I really enjoy the humanitarian opportunities that are possible by being an optometrist," Dr. LaDouceur says. "I have had the opportunity to provide eye care and glasses to rural villagers in Ghana and Guatemala, and Sri Lanka."
Dr. LaDouceur recommends regular eye exams. "For people who wear contacts, they need to come in yearly for exams, as contact prescriptions are only good for one year, but they aren't the only ones. Anyone who has diabetes, high blood pressure, or any other systemic disease or heart condition should have a full eye health exam every year. Children as well. Kids grow and change quickly, and so can their eyes. People in good health, who don't wear contacts, should still have a regular exam, which is every two years."
Dr. LaDouceur does a lot of work with contacts, but especially likes working with multifocal contacts. She also welcomes the challenge of those patients who think they can't wear contacts.

Dr. Jannell Cuddy, OD
I grew up in Southern Oregon and recieved my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oregon State University. In 2003 I recieved my Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. During that time I went on a volunteer mission to Costa Rica and helped set up vision clinics to the underserved regions. I came back to Oregon and have been practicing optometry here ever since. I enjoy spending quality time with patients and getting to know each one and their vision needs. Hallmark Opticians fosters that by providing personal, high quality customer service. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, walking Portland's nature trails, and spending time with my family.
